Historically, the ancient Igbo cosmology was dominated by feminine deities. A's much as the muscline deities spreaded alongside the feminine deities, the feminines were more popular and patronised. This may arise from the fact that feminine deities are compromising and easily followed. The musclines (Gods) are uncompromising, strict and difficult.
