IOUN Volunteers Holds District Summit

International Organisation of United Nations Volunteers (IOUNV) Eastern Nigeria District holds Leaders Summit in Ibele Autonomous Community in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State Nigeria on 24th of April 2017.
The meeting was organised by the Executive Committee of the district for purpose of reviewing and assess development strides of the group.
In his opening speech, Comrade Callistus Osunwa, the South East Chairman of the group admonished the efforts of members for their mutual cooperation and contributions towards charitable works in the district area. According to the district Chairman, the group has since its inception brought awareness of UN Volunteerism to the District Area, registered many worthy persons into the exalted status and help to update their profiles and passed necessary education and information to them.
In an address sent to the District Area by Meshiyach Yahzitere Okoh, the President General of the body, the members were encouraged to add more seriousness towards educating of the people on the objectives of United Nations Volunteerism and the benefits.
According to the letter signed by Comrade Nana Powel, the Secretary General of the body, on behalf of the leader, a UN Volunteer though may expect assignment from the UN but has the duty to render selfless services at his area of domicile and report to the body through profile update.
The meeting came to close with a call for a renewed spirit towards promotion of the course of the movement by members.
