Funeral Ceremony: Late High Chief Abel Ikechukwu Anyanwu

The body of Late High Chief Abel Ikechukwu Anyanwu of Ibele Autonomous Community in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State was laid to rest in his compound on 22nd April 2017.
High Chief Abel Anyanwu was the elder brother to His Royal Highness, Eze Rufus .C. Anyanwu, Achazie IV, the traditional ruler of Ibele Autonomous Community in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria.
In the brief history of his life as rendered by the family, Late High Chief took his primary education at St Mathews Primary School, Umuele of  present day Amazano Community. He attended St Augustine Grammar School Nkwerre for his secondary education after which he attended Teacher’s Training College Owerri before travelling to United States of America where he gained entrance into University and graduated as a computer scientist.
As a renown computer scientist, High Chief Anyanwu touched many lifes with wealth of his knowledge in the profession as well as using the proceeds he earned to promote peace of Ibele land and well being of many people.
Speaking during his requiem mass, the Priest of St. Peters Anglican Church Ibele extolled the good qualities of the passed away computer guru as a focused, resilient and a philanthropist. Most importantly, the High Chief was a devoted Christian.
The funeral occasion was graced by numerous personalities from different places and walks of life. Some of the personalities that attended were Chief Andrew .C. Uzoigwe, former Managing Director of NNPC, Chief Chuma Nnaji, the former Deputy Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly and Deputy Governor aspirant of PDP in Imo State governorship context in 2015, Chief Okwara Ojiaka, the former Director General of Police Affairs, Chief Bon Nnaji-the Njaba L.G.A Transitional Committee Chairman,  many traditional rulers and past and present members of Imo State House of Assembly, colleagues, friends and well wishers of the deceased.
